Lunaire Versailles (13211)

I finlly got a Lunaire Versailles Seamless Jacquard bra #13211! I've wanted one of these for some time. I don't know why it has taken me so long to get one. But, I'm really glad I did. Because I have to say it is probably the most comfortable bra I've ever worn. This one is a 38DD. I bought it new from Ebay. The whole bra is soft. The straps,the cups, even the wire is encased in a soft channel.
        Here's a few more pictures taken with my computer cam because my real camera isn't working right now.

I'd love bra shopping ,if I had the money!

    I think bra shopping is fun when I can afford it.It is hard for me, like most other women, to find bras that fit properly. I must say that it usually takes some shopping around and trying on a bunch of different bras from a few different stores but I don't mind, infact ,I kind of enjoy it. Because I usually find a bra or two that fits good , if, I can afford it.

Wonderbra Gel Pushup bra (7234)

     This is my 1st bra review on my silly bra blog. This bra is the Wonderbra (7234) Gel Pushup bra, This one is a size 38B which doesn't fit me, but it also isn't my bra. It actually is my friend Darla's bra. She just got it today. (Happy New Year!) from Hanes mail order. She spent $26.98 which includes the shipping and handling charge. She ordered it on-line on X-Mas day and 6 days later it arrived on her front porch. Darla was kind enough to let me examine the bra and even let me photograph her wearing it. Thank you Darla!

Sorry about the quality of the top  photo which is my friend Darla. I have to admit, I don't know what I'm doing with this blog or photography.........Anyway, this is what I think about the bra. ....
         The Wonderbra Gel Pushup (7234)

 This picture is the stock photo from Hanes where it was ordered from.   This bra seems to do a pretty good job at pushing up Darla's boobs. She is small chested and doesn't have much to push up. The bottom part of the cups are gel filled pads that are built right into the bra . The part of the of the cup that should be bellow the apex. . The under boob I guess you could say??
      Even though this 38B was too small for me, (by 2 or 3 cup sizes) and I didn't get to try it on myself, I can tell that I would prefer it with wider straps and a 3 hook back instead of only 2 hook back.
    Darla is really pleased with the look and fit and is happy with her purchase.
            Well there it is. My 1st bra review. I know it sucks but I am just doing this blog for my personal fun.

Favorite bra of my youth/young adult life

I recently stumbled across this old page from the 1980's .On this page  shows my regular bra that I wore for years. It is a way discontiued Vanity Fair underwire. I wore this model size 34B.It seemed to fit fine from what I can remember . Comfy too. I have since then went up in  band and cup to around 38DD/E or 40D.I used love this bra back when Vanity Fair was quality. Those were the days.

New Bras for me today!

   Today in the mail should be two new bras for me. They are used but will be new for me. I bought them both from Bratabase users through Bratabase's "Bra Listings" Both are higher quality bras . A Chantelle "Rive Guache" (3281) in a purple kind of color. (which I love!). These bras sell usually for about $88. Also a Panache "Andorra"(5675). They go for about $62.  This one in a pretty teal color. Both bras are in my size 38DD/E /40D. Together both bras would cost me over $150. But both used, only cost me $45. This is the only way I could afford these bras.
      I'm really excited about this and I am going to measure them and review them, take pictures ect. to add back to Bratabase.

My 3 friends let me measure and add these 3 bras to Bratabase

  For the longest time I thought I had large boobs. My 3 friends, Tara, Marguerite and Cathy have made me re-think what my definition of "large" was. These 3 friends of mine all let me measure their underwire bras so I could add them to Bratabase. So I showed them around the site and they watched me measure and photograph their bras and then add them to the database.
         I measured and photoed Tara's and Cathy's the same day. I was over at Cathy's house to measure her bras and mutual friend Tara stopped by and saw what we were doing and took off her Freya Deco so I could do it too. After I was done they were debating who had the biggest boobs.( It definitly wasn't me. ) Tara and Cathy are both plus sized girls and both have really large breasts. So here's tara at 38FF and Cathy at 44DDD and by just looking at them it was hard to tell who had the bigger boobs.With their bodies and heights being so different it was kind of like compairing apples and oranges. to settle this debate I happened to have a UK "sister size" chart with me. Included on the chart was breast volume in cubic centimeters for all the sister sizes of 28AA through 32JJ. As it turns out, Cathy has bigger boobs at 1810 cc's  and Tara at 1580 cc's. A difference of 30 cc's. Pretty close. I only have a volume of 1000 cc's. This means Tara's boobs are over 33% larger than mine. And Cathy's are over 75% larger!
         I measured Marguerite's on a different day.She had a piece of crap Fashion Bug bra.That's the bra she brought to my house to be measured. I did apriciate her bringing over the bra, I just wished it had been a "real" bra and not one made in T.J! This bra was a 42DDD which is a sister size of 38FF (Tara's Freya Deco) So, hopefully, one day I can get the 2 of them together and compair their boobs.

Bratabase

  I've been on Bratabase regularly for about a year now. I  discovered it about 2 years ago but  didn't understand what it was about . I first was on a bra site called Brayola which I got bored with and decided to try to figure out Bratabase. I am so glad I did too! I've learned a lot from the girls on Bratabase. Everyone is so helpful with answering bra-related questions. Either on their forum called "Bra -Adventures" or with "Fitting-help". you can get advise and ideas from very knowleadgeble "Bra experts.
